The Droplet Cover

The world went black, the light faded,
The cheerful soul has been dreaded,
Staring out the window,
Seeing the wind flow,
I see you looking at me,
While I am looking at thee.

In this sadness, in this darkness, I see you, I see you.

I see you bringing me joy,
I see you having a ploy,
I'm unconcerned with your deception,
As long as contentment is my reception.

Where have you been all season?
When everything got white for no apparent reason,
Was it your ego, was it your pride?
It will be locked in my soul if you confide.

Oh little droplet, I have missed you.

I see you sliding, I see you crying,
Is that your secret?! That you're dying?
Holding my tears, holding my heart,
Saying my farewell, watching us being apart,
Is that the last of you I see?
Without you, will there ever be a "me"?

It's been a while since you've gone,
I see a new fate being redrawn,
You were just a droplet in this rain,
Here I thought I had gone insane,
"Oh Hi there!", I said to her watching the new day begin.
